The past week has been a powerful reminder of the value of networking and on-the-field collaboration. From industrial trade fairs to academic workshops and social impact accelerators, Therness is actively contributing to the future of data-driven manufacturing.
Last week, we participated in three major events that bridge the gap between advanced research, industrial application, and sustainable innovation. Here is a recap of our activities and the perspectives we shared.
A&T – Automation & Testing: Driving the “Casa dell’IA”
We were thrilled to be part of A&T - Automation & Testing in Turin, specifically within the “Casa dell’IA” (House of AI). This dedicated area, organized by CIM4.0 (Competence Industry Manufacturing), highlights the most promising applications of Artificial Intelligence in the manufacturing sector.
At our booth, we presented our technology and real-world case studies to stakeholders across the industrial spectrum. The event was an excellent platform to share concrete results on how AI-driven monitoring can reduce waste, improve quality, and provide full digital traceability for critical processes like welding.
MEAS & Dumarey Group: Bridging Research and Industry
In parallel, Therness participated as an industrial partner in the MEAS – Metodi Energetici per l’Analisi Sperimentale (AIAS) workshop. This year’s edition was hosted by the Dumarey Group and organized by the DIMEAS - Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of the Politecnico di Torino.
The workshop provided a rare and valuable opportunity for direct dialogue between academic researchers and industrial leaders. Discussions focused on advanced experimental analysis methods—a field where Therness’s thermographic approach and AI modeling find perfect synergy.
Impact Deal: AI for Social and Environmental Impact
To conclude the week, our Finance Manager, David Astolfi, presented Therness at Impact Deal. Promoted by OGR Torino and Fondazione CRT, Impact Deal is Europe’s leading data-driven acceleration program for social and environmental impact.
We shared our vision of how AI applied to manufacturing processes isn’t just about efficiency—it’s about sustainability. By drastically reducing scrap and optimizing energy consumption through real-time process control, our technology contributes concretely to a more responsible and resource-efficient industrial model.
Looking Ahead
These events reinforce our commitment to building bridges between different ecosystems. Whether it’s helping a factory reduce its carbon footprint or collaborating with researchers on the next generation of experimental methods, Therness is at the forefront of the industrial transformation.
We want to thank all the organizers and partners who made this week possible: A&T, CIM4.0, Politecnico di Torino, Dumarey Group, and OGR Torino.
